The Florida Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Program at Banyan Creek
Elementary is a full day inclusion classroom. The VPK program provides a foundation for the children both academically and socially in preparation for kindergarten.
Students receive VPK instruction by a certified teacher, an early childhood professional (ECP), and a paraprofessional.
A speech-language pathologist (SLP) will be in the room for a brief portion of the day working with students previously identified as having speech and/or language needs.
Breakfast and a snack will be provided and students may choose to buy or bring lunch to school. Students have a "quiet time" for rest built into their daily schedule.
